The last time when I paid a visit to unity , ci7 920 was 45K, Intel X58SoCrap mobo rofl was 40K (wait! was it the other way around , anyway both 85K) and stick of 1gig DDR3 KVR 5.5K

Intel mobos are way overpriced. Wasn't there any other brands available?

But is till think its worth it if you have the cash, coz this is the latest tech we're talking about, and having it would be insanely awesome.

AFAIK that was the only store the i7 is available, Don't know much.. and it was the only mobo they had

Besides, I'm pretty sure the Phenom II 940 at 3.0GHz can take on I7 920 pretty easily, at half the cost.

With the only exception of heavily multi threaded apps such as video encoders (useless)..

Hmmm..monitor seems to be cool enough to me. From where did you purchase it? (In case of warranty claim is required by the buyer) I wonder if you're open for a price negotiation if required or is that the last price? I'm not a gamer that much but for running several virtual PC's and view them in a large screen is kinda cool for me
