I bought my phone from a friend and I am the second user. It was rooted and was in modified status (when i checked About->device->status) but working fine and had zero issues. So yesterday i wanted to install a new ROM to get android 4.3 as what i had was android 4.1.2.

I installed this Omega Rom after downloading from omegadroid.co/download-center/ for my S3 I9300, omega version is v58 - XXUGNB6
Now everything is working fine except the calling feature, phone is fast as well but when i try to make a call it says not registered on network.

Which was working Fine before, similarly to another S3 I9300 of a friend the same ROM is installed and it works fine without any problem at all. Even calling is working fine.

The error message is "Not Registered on Network"
What can i do to recover my phone? Can i unroot it ? if so please appreciate any help on how to do it. What could be the issue here if anyone have a idea.

UPDATE
I have found now that IMEI (under the battery) no of the device does not match with the IMEI i get when typing *#06#


The IMEI i get when dial *#06# = 004999010640000 / 01
The IMEI under the battery = 355994/05/8434**/* (* represents rest of the IMEI numbers)

I flashed using ODIN again the ROM at samsung-updates.com/details/24621/Galaxy_S_3_International/GT-I9300/SKZ/I9300XXUGNA8.html which i said to be stock ROM. but its Not the original ROM which was in the mobile before, please find the below screenshot.

EFS partiton eke thami ube imei no eke save wela thiyenne, modem eke thami network info thiyenne. samahara custom rom flash karaddi oya deka damage wenawa. e nisa ona dekata kalin owa backup karanna one. Mama dunna link eke oka fix karana hati athi. Thawa google karapan. Modem eka normal odin walin flash karann thiyenne. Oka hadana shops gana nam mama danne naha

Seems like EFS partition error as said before by other ek member. OR Baseband error. Ekiyanne machan network ekata basebands thiyanawa. With some rom eka compatible with some they are not ekai. Poddak xdaforum wala daapan. EKE ape lankawe weddoth innawa..

ඔය Firmware Upgrade and Initialization කරද්දී අහන S/N number එකට මම ෆෝන් එකේ තිබුන S/N number එක දුන්නා..... දීලා ඒ කියපු පිළිවෙලට Firmware Upgrade and Initialization කරා..... අවුලක් නැතුව බබා වගේ අප්ග්‍රේඩ් වුනා.... අෆ්ෆටසිරි ඊට පස්සේ තමා හොඳම කේස් එක....... කරලා ඉවර වුනාම මෙන්න සිම් එක ගන්නේ නෑ කියහන්කෝ....... කෝල්ස් & sms කිසි දෙයක් බෑ....... not registered in network කියලා එනවා......

ඊට පස්සේ ෆෝන් එකේ PDA,CSC,MODEM විස්තර තිබුනේ මෙන්න මෙහෙම..... මේ විස්තර වල හැටියට ෆෝන් එකේ කන්ට්‍රි එක පෙන්වන්නේ ෆ්‍රාන්ස් කියලා..... එක හරි වෙන්න පුළුවන් මොකද ෆෝන් බොක්ස් එකේ එහෙම තියෙන්නේ ෆ්‍රෙන්ච් වලින්......

ඕකෙන් පස්සේ ඊටපස්සේ ගොඩ වෙදකම් කරන්න ගිහිලා imei නම්බර් එකයි බේස්බෑන්ඩ් විස්තරයි ඔක්කොමත් ගහලා ගියා..... පස්සේ මගේ යාලුවෙක්ට කියලා යාන්තම් 4.1.1 වලට ෆෝන් එක ගොඩ දාගත්තා......
