Did yo guys see the sanga's wicket today?

Boucher broke the stumps before the ball hit the stumps. And he continued celebrating.

Damn dissapointed cause the game changed because of that.

No no, i have iptv. checked again. especially the side view. Boucher's gloves broke the stumps, before the ball hit. I don't the know the rule, but I assume If the bails have been removed, then it won't be out if the ball hits the wicket.

A lot of you have mailed saying Boucher had knocked off the bails before Sanga was actually bowled. I guess it got lost in the heat of the moment. I need to see another replay of that before I write anything. We all remember the Haddin incident!
Quated This 4m Cricinfo Text Commentary............... So I think Something Went Wrong According 2 This.....................

BTW Tht ball wud hav hit the stumps even though Boucher Broke that o not..............

Ya it would have it the stumps. but the fact remains that boucher broke them first.
In runouts, you have to uproot the stumps in such a case. But i dont think it applies here. need to find out what the rule is.

i think....if the ball hit the stumps even thou the bells were broken early its out

    Wrong!

Until the ball hit the stumps and bails were out Batsman is NOT OUT!!!

So if the bails were out earlier how can you be sure even if it hits the stumps the bail would come out.... remember the doubt goes for batman!

I remember in one game, they played without the bails due to high wind. In that case if the ball hit the stumps, it was deemed to be out. (the usual requirement is that the bails fall off) but here, the bails already have been broken. should have been a dead ball i think.

even thought the ball hits the stumps the rule is to see when the bails are out of the groove of the stumps. wicket keeper has to take the ball 1st in order to dis lodge the bails. if the wickets are down and still it didn't count as an out and again to set the batsman out the wicket should be uprooted and hit with the ball. that's how the rule goes. :dull: :dull:
