We urge all our supporters to be vigilant and keep an eye out for false documents, online statements, web sites and blogs as well as false sms messages that are being spread around.
We would like to clarify that we have no connection to sites like sfbalakaya.com or the multiple others that claim to be from this campaign.
Our only online outreach is through the official website www.sarathfonseka.com and the Facebook site “Sarath Fonseka -Next Sri Lankan President”.
We are very saddened by such cowardly tactics from our opponents.
Our Campaign has always maintained that politics should be about transparency, honor, trust and accountability and never about cowardice, trickery, deception and coercion.
We thank each and every one of you who contacted us to verify the authenticity of these documents, statements and websites. We are grateful to have friends as you who are independent thinkers and who will intelligently assess the information presented to them.
Please know we are taking every action necessary to manage this breach of internet security and defamation.
Please spread our message to your friends and colleagues - assist us by getting people to be more mindful of their rights and by not being intimidated or misled.
Such a dishonest, corrupt and violent political regime can only see an unhappy end.
We look forward to your vote for the Swan on January 26, 2010.
