1) Already cost of food high...if you stake this away and ban meat products...then price of other goods will obviously increase...
Political suicide....
1) If they allow God and state/govt laws to merge very soon very weird laws will come around...including no liquor or cigarettes....
2) Women have to dress more conservatively...
3) Say hello to new Taliban Sri Lanka....
Civil Suicide
1) Most other religions don't look down of meat products...this includes Christians....and moors of sri lanka..not only Muslims....
2) Will make Muslims think they are being intentionally oppressed....
3) Don't try to force others religious laws on people....
Ecological Suicide....
1) India dosen't allow sacrifice of just cows....and look what it looks like.....streets filled with cows....most states have deserts and have severe droughts......due to over grazing cattle.....
You can simply look at this from one point of view and say...."but the poor animals"......animals die of old age anyway.....and they kill each other all the time....and honestly do you believe any sri lankan Muslim or otherwise....would torture animals for fun...was that how we grew up other or the lessons we have been taught? (as kids yes...but as adults?).......
do you NEED to bring such a ban and alienate all the Muslims of Sri Lanka?.....
