SB warns SLMC

Higher Education Minister S.B.Dissanayake said that measures will be taken to dismiss the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) and appoint a new council if they make a decision against government policy regarding the private medical college in Malabe.

Previously AHM Fawsi & Renuka Herath Dissolved the Medical Council according to the powers vested on them as health Ministers

This Dissolvement was pending for the past few months in view of the Dictatorial manner in which the current medical council was behaving...Even the GMAO is happy with Dissolving the current members & replacing them.

People in the health sector knows better about this matter
