During the confrontation which lasted 4 – 5 hours, 04 LTTE attack craft were completely destroyed by the Navy. Sri Lanka Air Force provided air support with the help of MI 24 helicopters to the Navy.During the confrontation Colombo Dockyard built Navy Fast Attack Craft was damaged due to the explosion of 02 LTTE Suicidal boats.A Naval search operation is in progress.</blockquote>
