November 16, 2008(NFO)Colombo- Residents of the Moratuwa and certain areas in Trincomalee, are faced with many difficulties due to sea erosion.
The centre for disaster management stated that 25 families in Angulana, Moratuwa and 111 families in Muttur, Trincomalee, have been affected by this situation.
Sea erosion is not an uncommon experience for fisher folk residing in the Angulana area in Moratuwa.
However, they say that this condition has only aggravated in the recent past.
