Several areas in Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara have been flooded as a result of the heavy rain experienced since early this morning.
The Mathugama-Aluthgama road and Jawatta road are among the roads inundated this morning, the Disaster Management Centre said.
Fort and Slave Island too have come under water and a tree has been uprooted near the Gangaramaya Temple desrupting traffic.
