    Signature images do not affect with the server load, those images are stored in image hosting service (imageshack or something like that). And those are do not affect EK server bandwidth, simply the url is given by the server to your browser and your browser downloads image directly from the service provider.

    Agree that there should be a maximum signature size defined and enforced. Horrendously large and graphics heavy signatures are a big no no.
    Alternatively do not display signatures by default. If anyone wants to see signatures he can go to his user cp and enable the 'view signatures' option.

    I have disabled displaying SIGIs cos I'm on da one of speed network & I can't afford those kinda bandwidth wastage :no:

    actually I believe SIGI should be a text & small pic if U need to put anyway
    but, here we can see SIGIs like Posters & some members have several SIGIs. most of them are not optimized save bandwidth. so they are high in size as a result :(

    PS: I don't think GT will take an action cos I saw his thread what promoting to put SIGIs which are bigger to me ;)
