As you all know the Sri Lankan flag was burned by members of a YUTSA rally called "Free Tamil Eelam" in support of terrorism. A Tamil club should not be represented by the LTTE Terrorist flag. A Tamil club should pro mote Tamil culture. THEY HAVE INSULTED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AND IT IS TIME TO VOICE OUR OPINIONS. OUR DEMANDS INCLUDE:

1. Banning of the LTTE terrorist flag as a representation of the York University Tamil Students Association (YUTSA).

2. A formal apology from the York University Tamil Students Association (YUTSA), the clubs that supported this rally, USAY (United South Asians At York) and YFS (York Federation of Students) and York University, for their lack of concern. The apology should be directed to all Sri Lankans.

3. York University must take action to discipline YUTSA.

Canada is home to many LTTE supporters

Canada has the largest tamil population outside India/Sri lanka

LTTE flag is not banned in Canada
(that's why you have these people waving LTTE flags)

from what i have heard burning flags in Canada is not illegal

Sri lankan government must work with the federal & local Canadian governments to see what can be done to stop these activities
