This is an effort to heal the minds of helpless people at the Victoria Home.
Time - 8.00 am to 1.30 pm.
8.30 am - 10.00 am Observance of Sill and the Dhamma Sermon
10.00 am - 10.30 am Gilanpasa Viwekaya
10.30 am - 11.00 am Buddha Pooja
11.00 am - 12.00 pm Alms Giving
12.00 pm - 1.30 pm Distribution of Pirith Threads and Dhamma Leaflets for the Patients
Victoria Home shelters for permanently disables. They have become disable due to various reasons. Accidents, genetic problems, strokes and various other illness have made them incurables. All of them are very kind and innocent. Most impressively, they do care of the rest of the residents and help each other, even with the little they could do.
Can we imagine how many times we may have born or suffered in our previous births like them?.
Can we assure that we will not fall into this situation in future or in coming births due to the kamma that have been committed in our previous births or in this birth.
So should we not think of them in a different way ?
Should we not offer them the little that we could do for them ?
If you think we SHOULD, please be present on that day to support us in inspiring them religiously to strengthen their mental states. Lets make them think that physical inability should not hinder our direction in realizing four Noble Truths. Lets help them listen to the compassionate words of the Supreme Buddha.
