machan, i except that sss has become a major mania in sri lanka and its contestence have become more popular than most old musicians. but we also must accept that we are the very same people who have made this program and artists so popular. i won't say it is a bad thing because i feel we need to have new people coming in to the music trade and they also must be appreciated for what they do.
presently if you watch tv or listen to the radio you mostly hear songs of these new artists and their songe. that's because we like these artists and their songs. so these songs are been requested and played more than old songs. so if people are so worried about their old singers and music trends, then i feel we should start requesting old songs and not new once.
