Watching you...........
The way Sirasa & the judges laugh at people who can't sing is so pathetic... But on one hand I feel that it is needed... Our country is full of worlds firsts, worlds highests and world biggest people and things... and their is another lot who glorify them without any doubt.. and feel proud too.
I think SIRASA is showing us all that no matter how big our heads are we are not as big as we think. And they highlight the importance of learning and practice. I think in the long run they help greatly the Sri Lankan Music Field
My only worry is that how can we face our friends abroad if they see these innocent fools who think way bigger than themselves and show it in public too.

Have you seem how American Idol judges do their business ? SSS judges has nothing on them. I believe the local judges needs to be more honest and more open about their opinions since this is a competition with high valued price at the end.

I think I feel the same... but I feel everyone thinks of him/herself bigger than him/herself... this highlights that, so well...
Sometimes it is so unbelievable... how stupid they are... If it is a movie we wouldn't believe, it is possible in real life...

hope you remember the lady Sarah Boyle @ American Idol.... when the 1st time she came to satage every single person laughed at her...coz she showed some stupidity..i guess...

but after all she made everyone jump....

the problem is in SL we cant see that kind of talent... they dont show their talent.... just acting like jokers all the way...

but, dunno when they gonna understand this and do sumthing better.....

we cannot compare american idol with super star in ever aspect. the values of a person bought up in two cultures are far different, specialy the american and sri lankan.

Its not the culture that is the problem. AI looks for a marketable pop star that they can bank on to market to the masses to make money for them and for the winner (Potentially a win-win situation). They make no bones about this and they look for that one star.
Our local shows arn't forthcoming about exactly who they are looking for and makes all kinds of excuses or come up with crap like "the most talented" and "the most famous" or "judges winner" and "viewers winner".

That is the problem. If all the local shows makes it certain as to who they are looking for and get the judges to judge with that goal in mind, there will be no confusion in the show.

if it carries solely on the purpose of marketing them and winner, you have to accept that it will affect in a drop of the quality in the final outcome.

american idol does gives it more for the real talent, cuz that obviously effects hugely in their financial plans in marketing it.

it's just a cunnnig trick by sirasa to come up with different titles in the same program like "judges winner" ,"viewers winner" or what ever they call it. so now no one can back fire at sirasa for the last outcome, cuz it has given the opprtunity to every one to make their(judges, viewers and the guys who hate it) own will come true in under a co-titile. plus it's hugely in their marketing strategy to gain their own finacial and marketing value.

Whole world is stage as we all are the acters whos on it ne sis

Superstar is a great exaple for delusional illusion . And all of the mai freature are just set up:yes:

I dont state that every move of the participants are pre-planned. But most of it

Even the judges wrapped in the same agenda

    Then U all may ask Y ???

Its just simple. For popularity what else for ??

If Superstar ws a conservative plain competition what else pple do have to talk about it other than the talents of the participants right ??

But Sirasa always looking for more they get advantage of good and best use of bad too in other words Superstar is well-known+notorious one
Thats y its so special that any other dozens of competitions :D
