GOOD CHANNEL. THEY CAN BE VERY GOOD BUT ITS REALLY BAD WEN THEY SUPPORT ONE SIDE. THEY SUD BE UNBIASED AND REPORT NEWS OF ALL PARTIES. THEY MOSTLY TRY TO THROW MUD TO DA JVP GUYS.
BUT THEIR VIMARSHANA PROGRAMME IN DA NEWS IS REALLY GOOD. IT HAS BENIFITTED A LOT AND ALSO IS BRINGIN OUT LOTS OF UNKNOWN STUFF!!

Sirasa is always first with the news. Others give stale news after watching
sirasa. But I do agree that sirasa is a bit biased in reporting news. Sirasa has
both the good & the bad. Some quality interviews & reviews & some stupid
chat shows where the presenters dont know what they are talking & which
language they are speaking ! But credit to sirasa for their innovative & novel
ideas. Nobody can match them in that respect. Most channels ridiculed sirasa
when they started the super star programme, but lo and behold they have all
shamelessly copied sirasa and started similar singing contests which are
utterly boring, forgetting the fact that a TV programme needs to be colourful &
entertaining to keep the audience' interest alive. I saw another chanel even
copying the same format of the advertisement used by sirasa, to hit back at
the super star programme. Even to criticise sirasa they do not have any new
ideas other than copy sirasa !
As for the " Ran depaya ", I too agree that these programmes are not good for
the local audience as they promote violence, treachery, cunning & hatred.
Imagine the mother killing her own son, the wife killing the husband & dumping
his body with the help of her lover etc: But can we honestly preach a holier than
thou attitude & say these things are not happenning in this "Dhammadweepa " ?
Some food for thought.
Also, I tried going to sleep decked with jewels & kanjipurams, but found it was
far too hot & uncomfortable here in Sri Lanka. So good luck to the lovely ladies
who come to our sitting rooms every night through sirasa TV !
