Born to a Sri Lankan mother and an Indian father Pooja Umashankar is the Sri Lankan Indian actress who portrays the main characters in the Sinhalese box office record breaking blockbusters 'Anjalika' (directed by Channa Perera), 'Asai Mang Piyabanna' (directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya) , 'Yahaluvo' (directed by Sumithra Pieris) and ‘Suwanda Denuna Jeewithe’ (directed by Dhammika Sirirwardana).

‘Super Six’, Udara Palliyaguruge's latest cinematic venture aims to attract international markets for local cinema that combines the influences of romance, comedy, action and fantasy. The film 'Super Six' might have been successful at the box office here and internationally capture any attention. Launch of the movie, ‘Super Six’ held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel recently and the estimated budget of the movie is Rs. 77 million.
