Pro government media claims Sri Lanka will defeat the US-led resolution at the UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The reports say Sri Lanka has secured 25 votes against the resolution & the rest are for the resolution in the 47 member council.
US ambassador to the UNHRC Eileen Donahoe said she expects the council to pass the Sri Lanka resolution.
The Indian government says they have not decided how they will vote.
The vote is expected next week.
