Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jets launched air raids at identified LTTE mortar gun positions located North of Nachchikuda area this morning, 2 September.
The Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, speaking to defence.lk said that, the sorties were launched around 10.15 a.m. today.
Further, the targeted LTTE location was also identified as a resistance point for the ground troops of Task Force 1 now operating in the Western battlefront in the Kilinochchi district.
