Absence from Examinations on Medical Grounds
If any student candidate is unable to attend an examination on a particular day or during a particular period of an examination due to medical reasons, he or she is required to inform the Manager Examinations/Academic Affairs about the reason within 24 hours from the date of absence at the examination (Paper) in writing or by telephone (Tel: 0112413900 Ext – 6202 or 6203/Malabe) (Tel: 0112301904 Metro) or by e mail >[email protected]< and >[email protected]< at Malabe and >[email protected]< at Metro, as applicable.

Such students are required to submit a Medical certificate covering his/her date/period of absence from the examination within 14 days from the date of absence at the examination along with the duly completed application for consideration by the SLIIT management for the grant or otherwise of Medical Concessions.
(Please see section 2.2.2 of the Student Rule Book)
The 14 day period referred to above in relation to a student who is unable to sit several papers of an examination will be counted from the last date of absence at the examination due to medical reasons.
Requests/Applications of students who do not meet the dead lines mentioned above will not be accepted even if the MC`s are pre dated.
Students who do not comply with the deadlines mentioned above will not be eligible to receive any concession.
