SLT ADSL Connection SlowDown Please Help

Hi Elakiri People,

From the start of the August month, my ADSL (Home 512/128) connection got a huge slow down in both down and uplinks. But the funny thing is torrent download speed is working same as past (Normally ~55KBps).

But the direct downloads from rapidshare, mediafire, hotfile, filesonic were dropped down to ~10KBps (Before this slow down these downloads came in ~60KBps). All the parameters in the router is same as past (like attenuation, SNR margin).

I called 1243 and opened a complain. And then a guy called from SLT technical division and said there were no problems in the connection and they have NO BLACKLISTING SYSTEM for heavy users.

This is the total usage of the month:- July (The slowing down was started from 2nd of August)

Do anyone has the same problem?

Please help me.

I had the same problem for months in last year. I complained. & then, it was fine for about a month. Then again the same problem arised. Anyway, maybe because of the intervention of the TRC, the things have been better since the beginning of this year.

Mama SLT head-office Broadband backend eke inna yaluwekuta katha karala baluwa. Eya kiyanne, highend user kenek kiyala flag unoth SLT eken apiwa masauak yanakal slow karapu V-LAN ekakata danawalu. So me mase iwara wenakal banna wenawa, Eth funny ma case eka kiyanne ra 11n passe withara mage line eka ayeth normal direct download (mediafire, rapidshare etc.) speed eka enawa, Eth ape gewal langa inna neighbours lage ADSL conncetions dawaltath kisima aulak nathuwa wada karanawa.

Dan SLT eka aluth thresholds ekka aluthma Unlimited connections 4k launch karala thiyenne. Ape model eke connection dena eka discontinue karala thiyenne.
