I was going to buy the Belkin N1 from argos as I can get it for £53 due to a voucher (and they give the best after sales service ). or ebay which is the cheapest.

PC world is more expensive for routers. CEX is a very interesting place, first time I'v herd of it.. damn low prices...

But which is better to buy, the network or the ADSL line moderm. I currently have SLT ADSL but wish to upgrade if anything better arrives. but the problem is that all other things uses a network cable rather than a phone line. (jus like in the UK) As you said the moderms used for BT can be used for SLT as well yeah.

i think now 108Mbps Dilnk routers also available

Yeah I know 108Mbps being ther for years (New routers supports up to 300Mbps like Dlink DGL-4500)
but there is no point of spending money on 108Mbps routers unless you wonna do FileSharing on LAN.. So 54Mbps is more than enough for internet sharing...

Sorry I have a US Robotics router, not a D-Link, got them confused....

I jus Wanna know whether its going to work with SLT ADSL.

The only problem with US Robotics is that it doesn't cover the entire house, as me and my sister need the internet and our rooms are long way apart so US Robotics have a huge range.

Mine is working very well..even for the 3rd floor..

Best thing is check it before you buy..coz electric items,we cant say 100% working according to the specification..

I've being using Billion 7300G (All in one Modem Router/4-port LAN/54Mbps Wirless) for couple of years now. And it's powerful enough to use PCs on down stairs..

Note: Place your router high in the room, as far away from obstructions as possible, parallel to the wall. Use a external antenna if you want better Signal strength

I used my Linksys with telewast Broadband (with there cable modem) after I cam back to SL I hook up my Linksys with the D-Link DSL 2540T ( coz I need to get wireless internet to my PDA and for my sisters PC) But check the price

u can bargain the price in SL but the product is not the same as u get in UK. PM me if u need how I configure my home network…

yes CEX prices are good i bought a O2 xda mini s for 130 GBP the condition is very good...

Im also using dlink wirless router..its works good..if u hav problem in low signaling...use a signal bar antena..u may buy that in local market!

Dont dump that .. guaranteed! 100%working good
