    I don't know about the Rs.500/- package, but I am using the Rs.1000/- pack. It has abt. 45 channels including the local ones
    ( except sirasa & TV lanka )
    Can go upto 50 channels if u pay more. Reception is very clear but some times can get held up due to signal problems. ( but this is very rare )
    Loading takes abt. 3-5 mnts. You CANNOT change channels with one click of the remote. Can re-wind & fast forward. Can watch old programmes upto 48 hrs. You can also order special (available ) programmes on payment.
    But I am not sure whether you can check the foreign programme line - up for the day. So I don't know what programme are available on a daily basis. You better ask SLT before u install, & get a full list of the channels offered for Rs.500/- & decide if it is worthwhile.
