Basic ADSL Configurations for a Modem

• VPI -8 • VCI -35 • PPP Encapsulation - PPP over Ethernet Bridged LLC/SNAP • Modulation - g.dmt • Authentication - PAP • ADSL Username & password (provided by SLT) Basic ADSL Configurations for a Router • Open your web browser • Type IP address, ex: http://192.168.xxx.xxx (as mentioned in Router manual) • At the login window appears, enter router login username and password (As mentioned in Router manual) to login to Router page • Click setup wizard (depends on router brand) • Place VPI - 8 and VCI - 35 • Select the PPP connection as PPP over Ethernet Bridged LLC/SNAP • Modulation - g.dmt • Authentication - PAP • Type the ADSL username and the password (provided by SLT) • Click finish to complete the setup wizard • For Static IP Address - No need to enter the Static IP address in Router settings as it binds with ADSL username & password
