Smithsonian Cover-Up: Ancient Egyptians and Giants in the Grand Canyon

Another interesting presentation from A.J. of the "Why Files"..many of us have heard the stories but this is a deeper look and worth your time IMO.
I guess the first question I would have is why there is such a cover-up. Or why invent a story that is a total fantasy; either way this topic is presented in a way that is most compelling IMO?

Haven't watched the video but there were much written on it. The authenticity of the original is in doubt. It first appeared on the 5th April 1909 and some say that probably it should have appeared on the 1st of April 1909.

No other newspapers at that time carried any news on this except for one which titled "Looks like a Mulhatton Story" - Joe Mulhatton was a notorious hoaxer who wrote about hidden treasures and artefacts from ancient civilizations found in caves for over two decades during this era.
There's no record of either Prof Kinkaid or Prof Jordan at the Smithsonian or of any material evidence or photographs.
