Almost all of my major electronics were brought from Softlogic. Purchased a Samsung Smart TV last year and no issues so far. Product portfolio was good. Customer service was good. Also bought a couple of Samsung phones and a Dell laptop earlier. 4 Years for the lap. Still in use. Phones are broken due to my faults. Haven't made any warranty claims yet. So don't know how they fair in that area.
Big NO to Singer. Let alone after sales, even initial customer service is bad. Unprofessional and bossy. By my experience. I've been to Panadura, Mt. Lavinia, and Nugegoda showrooms. The one at Col. 7 was kind of okay. But you've got to talk like a million dollar man.
Anyway my father brought a Sisil refrigerator and he had to make couple of maintenance requests due to some issues. He said they've responded well. The product is about an year old now and seems to be working fine after some initial hiccups.
Damro is good by my experience. Brought a washing machine and it haven't had any issues for the last 5 or so years. Also some furniture too.
Don't know about Abans and Sinhagiri. However on each time, I went to Panadura Sinhagiri showroom, I couldn't look past the immature impression they gave. The product portfolio was not that good for my liking as well.
Overall I believe, the luck matters. If you are in bad luck, you will land on something shitty. Same goes for the after sales requests. If you are in good luck, you'll get your issue sorted without having to waste a lot of time but vice versa if not.
