Java Sri Lanka is a non profit oriented Professionals Movement to
Promote ICT in general, and Java in particular, mainly in Sri Lanka.
At present over 15,000 Java Professionals are registered under the
Java Sri Lanka umbrella to position Sri Lanka as the leading nation,
empowered through Java Technology, by producing hundred thousands of
Java Programmers to the Java software industry worldwide. Java Sri
Lanka expects to contribute to the national economy by making a
powerful Java force in Sri Lanka to become the highest foreign
exchange generator of the country within a short period of time,
converting the labor based economy to a knowledge based economy in Sri
Lanka.
Java Sri Lanka organizes Java Sri Lanka Exhibition, Education and
Training Programs, Java Technology Conferences, Java Awareness
Workshops, Java Technology Seminars, Java Technology Related
Publications, Software Solutions for Sri Lanka's Small and medium
sector industries and Services, Career Guidance Sessions for Java
Enthusiasts, Industry Linkages of Java technology Oriented Companies,
Building Partnerships and Networks, Public Awareness Programs,
Publicity Events on Media, etc.
Java Sri Lanka provides its memberships to professionals who earns the
PCJT (Professional Certificate in Java Technology) qualification which
is offered by the International Chamber of Chartered Java
Professionals. IJTS (Institute of Java and technologica Studies) is
the principal sponsor for all its events. The Chamber of Chartered
Java Professionals International and World Wide Java Professionals
Community are the Strategic partners of Java Sri Lanka.
