As far as I know there are only the following things that make you a Muslim. Not licking fingers or half bent trees or even jihad..

1. Believe in one god and do not compare him to any human or idol. The word Allah means God in the Arabic Language. It's not a name like Jesus or Buddha. It only means god in Arabic language.

2. Muslims must pray 5 times a day.

3. Fast during the month of Ramadan.

4. Give certain percentage of their earnings to the poor - charity.

5. Abide by all laws of the land they live in.

Obviously Muslim friends here will explain more. I am just pointing what I know here. I am Catholic but my best friend is a Muslim. I went to school with him for 20 years and we have discussed a lot about the religion after September 11 attacks.

machan,muslim kenek venna mechchara deeval karanna oone naha....you only need to say 2 simple things to become a muslim.....

1)believe in Allah as the one and only God who is the creator of this universe...and he has no any parents or children...

2)prophet mohammad is the last messanger of Allah....

these 2things are in one arabic sentence......
so if you say that arabic sentence,,,then WALLAH!!!you are a muslim..!!!
