Thanx.. and yes I was in SL :) the cam is not a really what a pro would use  its a Sony Cybershot (7.2MP), these pics are resized else a horizontal pic is as big as 3072x2304 pixels (file size close to 3MB),

Still I would love to own a SLR! :(
cybershot 7.2 is good enough. One of my friends who does journalism as a degree brought a cam (12mp) worth 2 and a half lakhs and she showed me how i can do what that camera does with my 6mp canon Ixus.

Pretty amazing u just have to mess around with the settings and most of all choose manual mode.

The amount of mega pixels dont make a big deifference unless ur taking a photo for a billboard.

try using the macro mode while taking close ups. it focuses only on what is really close to you. And as for that picture of the "katussa", u have lost the focus.. thats the problem with autofocus cameras u cant get it focus on what u exactly want on the first try.

Yeah true! Marco works like a charm, I'll put up some more pictures later especially the ones that I took macro on! This camera does shoot the red beam first before capturing the image, if you are not sure about the focus you can just partially press the "shoot button" to set your focus first...then if you are satisfied with it... press it all the way to shoot it! Is that how your Canon works too?

Wow , I really did enjoyed them:D:D

Wonderful angel on the 7th pic. Nicely photographed the steps:D

When I first saw the place what crossed my mind was the movie "300", it might have been in a place like this where the Persians couldn't rush through and only 300 Spartans were enough to hold the entrance for so long!!

Isn't that place a nice fortification or what? No matter how big your force is....only a row of 2 or 3 can pass at one time!

u mean this particular step:oo:  Man it look so damn narrow for to pass 2-3 people at once ne:baffled:

About the fortification, the two walls on the either side is nicely set up for that but the thought u have given to me about the force story, is quite an area to think more:D

Lovely perspective;):D

yea that's what i meant by not getting ur focus right at the first try. so u half click n then see that the focus is on what u want n if its not u half click again till u get the right focus. that's exactly how the canon works except for that it focuses on many things simultaneously.

Will be looking forward for the pictures on macro mode. :D

Yeah the narrowest place is very very narrow...and those aren't really "walls" if you meant "man made ones" those are solid rocks! And locals call it "Degaldoruwa" and it seems if you block it, there's no easy way up! AMAZING!!

Beautiful Pixes, Thanks for sharing them pal !

I have been to Warana temple years back, but where is this maligatenna temple situated at? Although I have heard about it, I am not sure about the location.

Maligathanna temple is situated @ Gampaha - Wathurugama route.. if you coming from Colombo no need to go to Gampaha you can take the right turn from Miriswatte Junction to Wathurugama.. then you can find your way.. not that difficult!
