Well you have very limited option on these kind of cameras because they are designed for dummies like us to point and shoot! :D But its not that bad either!

I did switched to the maximum resolution of 7.2 when taking pictures and if you shoot short range (roughly like 1 ft and less) try switching on the macro mode, it does go into a special focusing mode especially designed for that! Other than that there are many presets in the cam you can play around..and if you use something like night mode you are better off using a tri-pod because its extremely hard to get a clear (non-blurry) shot using our hands in fading light!

And angles are also important, from what know...you should always try to skip the obvious angle and try something different..I think when you see something..the obvious angle is straight up angle right?but picturing that does'nt really differ from seeing it..so when you try different angles the picture looks so different and new to our eyes!

I'm not a pro but these are the small things you can try out! Till you get some professional equipment and training! ;)

omg those are great!!!! and i love this land. my soul lies on the sand of this land. but dumb people have got in to some high positions of the sri lanka and they rule the country to get the max out of this land in to their pockets! since this is happening, this land will not support human life on it.

Maligathanna temple is situated @ Gampaha - Wathurugama route.. if you coming from Colombo no need to go to Gampaha you can take the right turn from Miriswatte Junction to Wathurugama.. then you can find your way.. not that difficult!

OK now I know! Thanks bro.
