Sri Lanka rediscover the taste of freedom
SRI LANKA CREATE HISTORY! Mendis and Fernando share an unbeaten 163-run stand to lead them to a 2-0 win over South Africa! They become the first Asian Test nation to beat South Africa in South Africa. What a Test it turned out to be. But on Day 3, Mendis and Fernando made it look exceptionally easy as they walked over SA with ease, picking up an eight-wicket win.
Mendis remained unbeaten on 84, while Fernando was on 85. That concludes a spectacular effort from Sri Lanka in the two-match series. They won comfortably in Durban and have done the same in Port Elizabeth. Hats off to the side that bounced back so well after they were recently drubbed in Australia. Thank you for your company through the two-odd days.

Sri Lanka victory continues the recent trend of away teams having success in Test cricket. England, India, NZ and now SL have all won overseas series of late. For the health of the game, ending the near total dominance of home sides was much needed. Lets hope it continues.

That is South Africa's largest margin of defeat (in terms of wickets) in a home Test since 1994.
The 1st Test was a dramatic thriller - the 2nd Test was a thrashing. #SAvSL
