Sri Lanka should ban certain electrical products to save electricity,water& certain transport to save on fuel!
There should be a legislation to ban these products.
1)Semi-Automatic washing machine. It wastes lots of water, time, and electricity if you are upstairs.
2) Non-Inverter Fridges. They consume most power in Houses.
3) CRT TVs. They consume lots of power and very bad product for lighting.
4) Non-Inverter Air Conditioners. Too much power consumption.
5) Electric table top cookers. Government should import more induction cookers instead of Electric table top cookers. They consume more power. If an house has solar panel this is best alternative to gas.
6) Kerosene and Diesel powered Fishing boats and Transport boats. There are boats with electric powered with solar pannel on top, it also has good battery bank.
