Sri Lanka supplies 90% of Cinnamon to rest of the world. We do not need to import cheap cinnamon bark which is of low quality. It is being sold to people over here. We have the best cinnamon bark the rest of the world requires. Why waste our foreign exchange on imports.

We need our local cinnamon bark.Prices must be controlled when selling into local market consumption with quota system. Then the rest should be sold abroad. Sri Lankan spices are highest quality which rest of the world wants, but we are consuming shit quality. There is no quality control for local market consumption.

It Is Better to Use Ceylon ("True" Cinnamon) The Cassia variety contains significant amounts of a compound called coumarin, which is believed to be harmful in large doses. All cinnamon should have health benefits, but Cassia may cause problems in large doses due to the coumarin content.
