Sri Lanka should go back to gold standard. Sri Lanka should introduce gold backed Sri Lankan Rupee. Which would stop inflation, the cost of living would not rise. No Sri Lankans would want a pay hike. When China and Russia is going in that direction ,we should do the same. If Sri Lanka cannot back it by Gold at least back it by Gems. Commodity back money is real money. There is no place for fiat money or US Dollar or Euro. Which are not backed by Gold. It is worthless, the ECB and FED prints currency like toilet paper. The Sri Lankan Central Bank is doing the same.We can buy oil with gold instead of worthless us dollar.
