If Sri Lanka wants to improve lively hood of people of this country.Then Sri Lanka should give free netmeter and a single solar pannel or two solar pannel with micro inverters. By giving this the country would be less dependent on keroscene subsidies. The govenment can also remove disel subsidies.
People will opt for electric vehicles. People will start using electric cookers instead of gas. If the govenment can give interest free loans to add additional capacity. People will start buying new solar pannels since the cost of purchasing additional pannel is cheaper than building from scratch.Mind you solar pannel can generate electricity for 25years. Solar power generation is improving day by day. The govenment can remove low electricity rates too and give flat rates to all the people , so as it will remove CEB from making any more losses.
The govenment should also give away solar sun cookers,which uses daylight to cook food for free in rural areas.
