There the economy is so bad, the once strong Venezuelan Bolivar backed by Oil Reserves, was diminished by the stupidity of it's government, and now they are printing 500,000 Bolivar notes.
What someone saved lets say 1 million a decade ago which was worth back then, of an equivalent of USD 9,000, now is only valued at USD 5,000, even accounting to an annual interest of 10-14%, annually, he would have only sufficed to a maximum of 80%, whilst the Dollar has gained by nearly 100%.
Very sad scene, as the one known and backed as liquid cash is now devalued to a certain level, and to specially see such a devaluation of 100% within 10 years is very questionable, where this country is headed.
The LKR is the only underperforming currency in it's region, supposedly doing similarly with the Nigerian Naira, Burundi Francs, we're downgraded ourselves to be a failed state and economy that we are considered the lower than standard capitalized country with the lowest profits, where it's very unattractive for investors, investors would be profounded that there Dollars or Pounds would bring in so much value, but learn that as there local dividents are paid in LKR, the LKR would be very unattractive.
