A large scale well-organized human trafficking and forged visa racket with the participation of Gold medalist athletes came to light today when three national athletes pleaded guilty for the same before the Fort Magistrate.
The Magistrate imposed one year rigorous imprisonment suspended for ten years on Prasanna Sampath Amarasekara, G. Geetha Nandani and Lalani Shanthi Iranganie and imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000 on each of them.
