I agree to 25% of this article, that is the part they say about the the PAFAREL which is headed By. Dr. Pakiyasothi Swarnawamuththu. One hell of a great and a straight guy.

It's sad to see UNP has taken charge against the guy, may be cause he's married to Chandika's sister; Sunethra :lol::lol::lol:

But, as per the CAFE, well, there are some "rigged" people in there. But all in all, I think they have done a fair job on their Part.

YES ! the east polls was RIGGED and POLLUTED like HELL !!!:yes::yes::yes:. It's a pitty to see that with all the enormouse power of the Government, they only secured 18 seats where as with all the slanders and insults UNP got 15 :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

A clear sign of a failing government

WELL, let's just be Clear that I am NOT A UNPer or belong to ANY Political party by preference. But what happened to the Government this time is pure comical !:lol::lol::lol:

I don't know PAFAREL is headed By. Dr. Pakiyasothi Swarnawamuththu. As I know the leader of PAFAREL is Mr. Kingsley.

May be the east election was polluted but not polluted as to change the final result.

Do you know why people say like this?

Since there is a big force within UNP to change the Leadership.

So the only way they can protect themselves is to say that they defeated the election due to corruption, very funny.

and It's very very funny to see that you said that this is the end of the govt.

I'm not in the side of Govt.

Only thing I want is to wipe out LTTE.

and we are against the people who are to disrupt the govt effort to wipe out terrorism. :growl:

Do you Recognize any of these NGO's?

    (1) Committee against Forcible Eviction of People

    (2) The Commission for Justice Peace and Human Rights

    (3) The Human Development Secretariat

    (4) Community Trust Fund

    (5) International Movement Against Discrimination and Racism

    (6) Justice and Peace for Integration and Creation and the Law and Society Trust.

any of these NGO's have the support of 100 people for each of them, at least. I never believed there's such a lucrative market for NGO's in Sri Lanka. Look how many of there are, competing for the same slice of the market; "human rights".

In fact, the number of Human Rights movements will soon out number the number of political parties in Sri Lanka. And next, they will out perform even the retailing business. People go and invest, where the market is most lucrative! Politics seems to be too much competitive these days, so it's always better to stay out of creating political parties, and focus on a "niche market" like human rights NGO.

BTW, all the above NGO's has formed into a "strategic business alliance" called "Joint Civil Society" and, issued a press release calling to stop the eastern local government election! And they say that "we visited the area, and not happy about the situation". In the meantime, Kingsley Rodrigo of PAFAREL, one of more commonly recognized NGO for election related matters, said to the media yesterday "We are happy about the way the election is progressing, in the pre-run to the election".

Now the question is, if PAFEREL is happy about the eastern LG elections, who are these "haal masso" to issue a "joint request" to call off the elections? Definitely, they got to be powered by some mysteriously political force, who doesn't want the elections to take place. Now, if the motivation behind them is as such, how could they call them selves as the Civil Society? How can we accept, some other face of the LTTE as representatives of Civil Society?

Yep, me going to take a gun and ask for votes too. And issue a press statement in "Silumina" saying my votes are purely affectionate votes that people gave me on my good will.

Never would mention the gun I am hiding behind my back !!

Come come now Rapa !! am I seeing "Blind leading a blind" in you?:lol::lol::lol::lol:

You seems to be no better than those "Ehiyyyo" sitting behind Government ministers and nod their heads to all the stupid things the minister says !

    not much difference no?

There's a fine line of difference between those two.

But that DOES you, your self believe the government is facing it's "END or FAILED" ?? so your true belief came out un-intentionally at a moment of less self guard ?

    Pitty !

but console you self on the thought that MANY like you feel the same way (including ME)
