bt one thing need to be corrected regarding elephants. Based on the researches done in past 2-3years it is hard to believe that elephants are that much threaten anymore. Elephant population is in a increasing trend in these past years and as a researcher i believe elephant population may reach its Maximum Sustainable population in near future, that is ලංකාවේ වනාන්තර වලට දැරිය හැකි උපරිම සංක්‍යාව. but human-elephant conflict will keep increase due to habitat encroachment.
