So Guys if we do the maths we will able to 16 million doses of oxford AstraZeneca (not that cheap indian copy) without an issue and spending a single ruppee. So why the hell we get some cheap shit from china russia and india when we can get good jabs for 8 million people.

Beside i am rich enough to pay 6$ per vaccine anyday. so for whole my family and friends. Why dont we have proper plans.

As per my understanding, there is a shortage of production. Even though we have enough money to buy it, they are prioritizing the supply depending on various factors such as the number of deaths and infected rate etc...

I have read somewhere even EU region is having issues to get their hands on for the required amount.

Even the UK is having an issue with the EU regarding the proportion of jabs. I don't think its possible for us to obtain as per your suggestion at this moment. Regarding 'medicine' there is an Intellectual Property relief given to third world countries. That's why production has been authorized in India. Therefore, I don't think Indian vaccine has problems compared to the original one. It must be the same formula.

Even the UK is having an issue with the EU regarding the proportion of jabs. I don't think its possible for us to obtain as per your suggestion at this moment. Well according to AstraZeneca , they are making 750 million vaccines per year and they gonna double to reach 1 billion by august. So i do think we can get 8 million with diplomatic relationships at least by next august if we pay now.

Well... this whole vaccine rapid acceleration process is pretty dodgy. even oxford guys cant confirm their effectiveness is 60% or 90%. on top of that now Indians are making vaccine make it very dangerous. Given the choice i would get from UK.

Even if you got the money vaccines are not directly off the shelf. Many countries paid for vaccines at the trial stages itself. Israel is just one of them.
Recently about three weeks ago Brazil was trying to purchase the Oxford vaccine, but the European offices could not cater for them. Subsequently they purchased them from India - if I remember correct about 2 M doses.
Morocco, South Africa and Saudi Arabia has also placed orders from India.

What we got was the complimentary ones from India, on their #VaccineMaitri, or the "The Indian Vaccine Diplomacy" initiative.

Buying a vaccine for $6 or $20 is just unrealistic. Think about the logistics involved, and it would add up to a several thousands easily if one person wanted to import a vaccine at -70C all the way to tropical Sri Lanka. Best bet is moderns or the Oxford, which India is just copying anyway.

I wouldn't really doing india's competency in "making" the vaccine as opposed to developing it. India makes majority of vaccines in the world anyway.

That said, I'm not in Sri Lanka at the moment, and I would gladly pay a premium to get the vaccine from Germany or Singapore.

As i know, the indian vaccine Covishield is the same thing as Oxford–AstraZeneca but produced in India, not a "copy".

Correct. India produces two vaccines - The Covishield, which is the Oxford vaccine produced under license, and Covaxin - which is their own developed one, inactivated Covid virus vaccine by Bharat BioTech.
