Instead of giving Duty Free permits to Politicians, Professitonals, Doctors which they sell for money.Govenment should give transpotaion allowance monthly to all these people so as to avoid unnecessary car imports depleating FOREX reserves.
What is the benifit of giving transpotaion allowance one may ask?
All these people will use their own vehicles and they are less likely to import new ones. They cannot sell permits which means rich business men will pay tax to import new vehicles. Their vehicle maintanence will be done by them , govenment need not pay anything.If the vehicle is broken down they can hire cab service or rent a vehicle. Since they are getting paid extra money they are less likely to waste that money.
Only those people who need security should be given police protection and their bomb proof vehicles. Such as Prime Minister ,President or Speaker, Leader of Opposition ,those who work for defence, and none other than them should be given any protective vehicles.
