Why do any of you even care if someone is insulting a religion (yours or someone else's). Let me give you a different perspective of why you shouldn't care and ignore things like this. Lets examine...
Did their actions...
... physically cause harm to you? No
... rob you of something? No
... insult you personally? No
... killed you because of that? No
... tell you how to live you life? No
... fire you from you job? No
... preventing you from following your religion? No
... did it cause the stock market to crash? No
... did at least one person have a laugh? Yes
the only outcome is that someone laughed, and you all just became all whiny and emotional about it.
In another though: So you think the actions their taking are insults? But what about what they think... what if they merely just posing to take a shot or just hanging around.
What makes you think that you're opinion of doing things is any more right than their opinion of doing things?
Dear sir,
In my honest view, I see it this way. I am myself of the view, "If you can't say anything nice, or worthwhile, don't say anything at all" Everyone has feelings and we should respect them. I myself am a Hindu and I am a deeply religious person who respects other peoples beliefs in the same way I want my beliefs to be respeceted. And if someone made fun of my or anyones religion, I would be very angry with that person. Everyone has something that they believe in or hold dear and if they see their Deity whom they believe in or someone they love being insulted, then they have every right to be offended or feel hurt by it. And if they express the hurt they have experienced due to the insult of that which they hold dear whether it be their God or a relative, they are not being "whiny and emotional". Their hurt is justified. These things are a part of who they are.
Yeah, people sometimes are too sensitive and we should not get uptight about every little thing. But if something we believe in or a person we hold dear is being insulted, or someone is hurting our feelings, we have a right to speak out!
