GAMPAHA: ONE SUICIDE BELT and six hand grenades were found by the Police this morning (17) from KADIRANA and PITIPANA areas in NEGOMBO.
The suicide belt and a military-type (Air Force) uniform were found from VENDESIWATTE area in KADIRANA on information received from a civilian, according to the Police.
Later, Special Task Force bomb disposal team dismantled it before it causes explosion.
Meanwhile, another piece of information given by civilians helped the Police to recover six hand grenades from PITIPANA and KADIRANA areas in NEGOMBO this morning (17).
