There's always a dark side to new technology, and a tiny weapon dubbed the smallest revolver ever by Guinness World Records just made the list.

Swiss gunsmith SwissMiniGun has developed a tiny revolver that's so small, it's banned in the United States. The Miniature Revolver is less than 2.2 inches long, but it has all the features of a full-size gun, according to the company. And from short range, it can kill you.

The Miniature Revolver is meant for show but is still considered a firearm in most of the world. However, almost all countries have their own regulations based on size and power. For example, this weapon is banned in the United States because it is fewer than 3-inches long, but it is not considered a firearm in Canada due to the low velocity of its bullets. However, an import permit is still required to buy the gun from Canada.

All Miniature Revolvers are custom-made. The basic model is stainless steel and costs 6,500 Swiss francs (about $6,300). Shown here is an 18-karat gold model with diamond grips. Prices for specialty guns are not available.
