Not only in England where ever Tamils live they speak the language of the majority, here in Malaysia no government documents are printed in Tamil or Chinese, only in Malay.

At least in SL they are printed in all 3 languages!

Agree. Still SL government forms still coming with 3 languages. Not only in Malaysia other all non English speaking countries doing the same as i know. (Eg.-Norway,Germany,France,etc..)
My view point is Sinhala is must for all Srilankans.

Yeah well no one is forced learn Sinhalese, but in a country where 70%+ of the population speaks Sinhalese it would be really difficult to survive if you dont speak Sinhalese!

I think your just bringing up Racial issues, when you talk about racial conduct there cant be a positive or negative side, Because there are good and bad people among us all, Muslim to Singhala, Tamil to Christian, Only the values have changed, So Please dont Racially discriminate The Sri Lankan Racial Concent. Anyhow I would say Singhala is the national Language so we should all learn it, which is anyhow thought throughout Sri lanka, but now its changing as for futuristic purpouses The lankan government has given English as a 1st classification of language to conduct studies, which currently some schools teach * government schools. and eventhrough Malaysia doesnt use Tamil as of not one of there main Languages, Singapore does addopt it as one of there main languages, the Tamil Ethnicity.
