Tamils issue: MDMK to observe hunger strike for a week

Just out of prison on the LTTE issue, MDMK general secretary Vaiko on Tuesday said his party would observe hunger strike for a week from tomorrow to protest against the Centre's "betrayal" of Tamils in Sri Lanka. Military aid, supply of radar and financial assistance were all evidence to prove that Indian Government was fully behind Sri Lanka in the "killing" of innocent Tamils, Vaiko told reporters here.

Even the DMK and Tamil Nadu chief minister, M Karunanidhi, cannot wash their hands and should equally own responsibility for the killings, Vaiko alleged.
Vaiko said the relief materials being collected by Tamil Nadu would not reach Tamils.

They can strike for a month or so.... So that they dont need to eat in the future....
