Message: <blockquote data-quote="Peace for All" data-source="post: 31199628" data-attributes="member: 586172">Ok lemme have a go too..In 1997/ 98, they used to sell this proudly locally assembled PC, with the CPU looking like a  flower vase for around 15 or 35 grands..And back then the word "multimedia" was used to indicate, VCD/ CD player etc., and this PC had them all and I used to fuss my folks to buy one..My course was about computer based Accounting, which was supposed to finish in 4 or 7 months, after O/Ls so but happened to drag on until the A/Ls started..It was here that I met some interesting goons, who prompted me to make a major turning point decision in life for good i.e. to change the school for my A/Ls..It was so fun, being with a large group of 16 plus, kids from that many schools for once.. <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="😀" title="Grinning face    :grinning:" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" data-shortname=":grinning:" /> as I went to an all male school and given private tuition for O/Ls.. <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="😔" title="Pensive face    :pensive:" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f614.png" data-shortname=":pensive:" /> - therefore for my A/Ls, needless to say I went for large group/ "mass" classes.. <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="😎" title="Smiling face with sunglasses    :sunglasses:" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f60e.png" data-shortname=":sunglasses:" />At the beginning there were both Programming and Accounting students in a long and wide hall upstairs but after the initial phase, we were split into the respective groups (where mine became the smaller)The day we were divided into two, we had to mention the duration of our course for identification for the Instructor..Whenever a Girl said 9 months or so Programming, boys would crack up..Whoever went to Nawala Head Office, will remember those crazy poems, written all over on the washrooms..!Once our batch almost got beaten up, by the neighbourhood boys for being silly..And it was here, now I recall, I first time encountered the hate, the school I later chose to attend for my A/Ls has towards RC..And yes we had to book sessions to play with those "multimedia" flower vase type PCs in the lab down under..Thanks for this thread OP - brought back some happy memories from the long gone past.. <img class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" alt="🥰" title="Smiling face with hearts    :smiling_face_with_3_hearts:" src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/6.6/png/unicode/64/1f970.png" data-shortname=":smiling_face_with_3_hearts:" /></blockquote>
