Hi a4access,

I think computer security related exams are having high demand. CISSP, CISM are in that list. Apart from that CISSP is really difficult to pass but it's worthy for the money since it is vendor neutral. I know MCSE and MCITP is really good. now Microsoft goign to have a new certification called as Microsoft masters. In this category you'll have to attend to a course and then pass several exams to obtain that credential. More information is found in this link,

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/master/default.mspx

Cheers

SCJP is for Java right? Well that is a beginner level one if I'm correct. If that the case the CCIE also should come to the picture which the ultimate certification in CISCO side. Anyway this certification reconiztion is balanced by the industry and the hiring companies as well.

Some companies SCJP will be the best they want and if most companies vote for that then that will be the most demanded. I hope Nagaya get the point. Don't worry too much about this crap. But again saying so it's always better to have them in your belt apart from a degree.

What I have to say is machang,

These qualifications cannot be ordered on a scale 1 to 10.

Because the above qualifications are the BEST in DIFFERENT disciplines.

e.g. CISSP in InfoSec and PMP in Project Management etc.

So I think the author is just telling that those are the best qualifications, but not ordered according to the numbering system he has used.

Degrees are academic qualifications. But these are certified 'professional' qualification. Usually these qualifications has a work/ experience related component. :)

So yes. Agree with the above :)

Hi x-pert i agree with you. Yes there is no orderly manner since different sectors in IT will have different demands.
Anyway no big worries and if I hurt someones feelings apologize for that. We are here to share our thoughts and never to criticize someone.

Because they are in different disciplines.
