Sri Lanka can only consume products for 21 million people and not more than that. Strong Sri Lankan Rupee will reduce balance of payment problem for Sri Lanka. Since Import will be cheaper. The quantity is likely to increase slightly but it will stagnate after some time in the Long runs since Population of this country is stagnant. At present balance of payment is in favour of India and China but this will reduce. We do not export more than we import.
