    http://richarddawkins.net/article,2...Slippery-Eels-and-Harun-Yahya,Richard-Dawkins

In 2006, I was one of tens of thousands of academic scientists all around the world who received, unsolicited and completely free, a huge and lavishly illustrated book called Atlas of Creation by the Turkish Muslim apologist Harun Yahya. The thesis of the book, which was published in eleven languages, is that evolution is false. The main 'evidence' consists of page after page of beautiful photographs of fossil animals, each one accompanied by a modern counterpart that is said to have changed not at all since the time of the fossil. It is a large-format book, a thick coffee-table book with more than 700 high-gloss colour pages. The cost of production of such a book must have been extremely high, and one is bound to wonder where the money came from to produce it and then distribute it gratis in so many copies and so many languages.

    seasnake.jpg
Given that the entire message of the book depends upon the alleged resemblance between modern animals and their fossil counterparts, I was amused, when I began flicking through at random, to find page 468 devoted to "eels", one fossil and one modern. The caption say
The fossil eel shown may well be an eel, I cannot tell. But the modern "eel" that Yahya pictures (see left) is undoubtedly not an eel but a sea snake, probably of the highly venomous genus Laticauda (an eel is, of course, not a snake at all but a teleost fish). I have not scanned the book for other inaccuracies of this kind. But given that this was almost the first page I looked at . . . what price the main thesis of the book that modern animals are unchanged since the time of their fossil counterparts?

Incidentally, in May 2008 Harun Yahya, whose real name is Adnan Oktar, was sentenced in a Turkish court to a three-year prison sentence "for creating an illegal organization for personal gain."

    Postscript added 8th July

I have now looked at some more pages of this preposterous book. The double page spreads on page 54-55, 368-369, and 414-415 are all labelled 'Crinoid', and all purport to show how similar ancient fossil crinoids are to modern ones. Crinoids are stalked relatives of starfish, members of the phylum Echinodermata. The three spreads have almost identical captions. Here's the one on page 54:And all three spreads show a beautiful colour photograph of modern crinoids to illustrate the point. Except that, in all three cases, the modern animal pictured is not a crinoid. It isn't even an echinoderm. It isn't even a deuterostome (the sub-kingdom to which the echinoderms, and we, belong). Zoologist readers will recognize it as a tube-dwelling annelid worm, a sabellid.

On page 402, there are four fossil pictures, correctly labelled Britttlestar. The brittlestars are one of the major classes of echinoderms, others being starfish, sea urchins and crinoids. Once again, we have the standard-issue creationist caption:
This 180-million—year-old fossil reveals that brittlestars have been the same for 200 million years. These animals, no different to those living today, once again reveal the invalidity of evolution.
Here we have not one but two photographs of living animals to illustrate the lack of change since the fossils. One of these modern animals is indeed a brittlestar. The other is a starfish! Member of a completely different class of echinoderms and obviously very different to even the meanest glance.

thx bro A superb book !!!

Everything in the heavens and everything in the earth belongs to Him. Allah is the Rich Beyond Need, the Praiseworthy. Do you not see that Allah has made everything on the earth subservient to you and the ships running upon the sea by His command? He holds back the heaven, preventing it from falling to the earth—except by His permission. Allah is All-Compassionate to humanity, Most Merciful. It is He Who gave you life and then will cause you to die and then will give you life again.Man is truly ungrateful. (Surat al-Hajj: 64-66)

    Muslims in Europe: Country guide

Islam is widely considered Europe's fastest growing religion, with immigration and above average birth rates leading to a rapid increase in the Muslim population.
The exact number of Muslims is difficult to establish however, as census figures are often questioned and many countries choose not to compile such information anyway.
    image.gif

    ALBANIA

    Total population: 3.1 million
    Muslim population: 2.2 million (70%)
Background: Religious worship was banned in Albania until the transition from Stalinist state to democracy in the 1990s. Islam is now openly recognised as the country's major religion and most Albanians are Sunni Muslim by virtue of the nation's history: The Balkans has had centuries of association with the faith as many parts of it were part of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. While the empire is long gone, the culture remained in place. Significant populations of Albanian Muslims exist in a number of other European countries.

    AUSTRIA

    Total population: 8.2 million
    Muslim population: 339,000 (4.1%)
Background: Large numbers of Muslims lived under Austrian rule when Bosnia-Hercegovina was annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1908. Many of Austria's Muslims have roots in Turkey and others arrived from the Balkans during the 1990s wars - partly because of historical ties. Islam has been recognised as an official religion in Austria for many years, meaning that it has a role in the religious teaching in schools. Vienna has historically been regarded as the point where the Islamic world reached its most western point, a critical battle in Austria in the 16th century marking the beginning of the decline of the Turkish Ottoman Empire.

    BELGIUM

    Total population: 10.3 million
    Muslim population: 0.4 million (4%)
Background: Islam is one of seven recognised religions in Belgium, a status that brings it a number of subsidies and official roles, such as providing teachers. Despite this there have been complaints of discrimination. Unemployment and poor housing have been one such cause of tension. There have also been claims of discrimination against women in traditional dress. A majority of Belgium's Muslims are of Moroccan or Turkish origin; many others are from Albania. (Citizenship is available after seven years).

    BOSNIA-HERCEGOVINA

    Total population: 3.8 million
    Muslim population: 1.5 million (40%)
Background: Bosnia-Hercegovina is still recovering from the bloody inter-ethnic war of 1992-95. Around 250,000 people died in the conflict between Bosnian Muslims, Croats and Serbs. Almost 8,000 Muslims were killed by Bosnian Serbs at Srebrenica in 1995 - Europe's worst atrocity since World War II. Many Muslims were displaced, as were members of other communities. A peacekeeping force remains in the country, whose frontiers have long been considered the western borders of the Islamic faith in Europe.

    DENMARK

    Total population: 5.4 million
    Muslim population: 270,000 (5%)
Background: In the 1970s Muslims arrived from Turkey, Pakistan, Morocco and the former Yugoslavia to work. In the 1980s and 90s the majority of Muslim arrivals were refugees and asylum seekers from Iran, Iraq, Somalia and Bosnia. Access to housing and employment have been sources of concern for Muslims in Denmark. (A minority have citizenship).

    FRANCE

    Total population: 62.3 million
Muslim population: Five to six million (8-9.6%)
Background: The French Muslim population is the largest in western Europe. About 70% have their heritage in former north African colonies of Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. France favours integration and many Muslims are citizens. Nevertheless, the growth of the community has challenged the French ideal of strict separation of religion and public life. There has been criticism that Muslims face high unemployment and often live in poor suburbs. A ban on religious symbols in public schools provoked a major national row as it was widely regarded as being a ban on the Islamic headscarf. Late 2005 saw widespread and prolonged rioting among mainly immigrant communities across France.

    GERMANY

    Total population: 82.5 million
    Muslim population: 3 million (3.6%)
Background: The majority of the Muslim population is Turkish, with many retaining strong links to Turkey. Others arrived from Bosnia and Kosovo during the Balkan wars. Until recently Muslims were considered "guest workers", who would one day leave the country - a view that is changing. Racist violence is a sensitive issue, with the authorities trying a range of strategies to beat it. Steps are being taken to improve integration.

    ITALY

    Total population: 58.4 million
    Muslim population: 825,000 (1.4%)
Background: The Muslim population is diverse, the largest group coming from Morocco. Others are from elsewhere in North Africa, south Asia, Albania, and the Middle East. Most arrived from the 1980s onwards, many of them as students. Italy is working to formalise relations between the state and the Muslim community. Up to 160,000 Muslims are Italian born. Most Muslims have the right to reside and work in Italy, but are not citizens.

    MACEDONIA

    Total population: 2.1 million
    Muslim population: 630,000 (30%)
Background: Macedonia's largest religion is Macedonian Orthodox, but almost one third of the population describe themselves as Muslim. Macedonia was spared the inter-ethnic violence that affected much of the Balkans following the break-up of Yugoslavia. But in early 2001 rebels staged an uprising demanding greater rights for the ethnic Albanian minority - a group which includes most Muslims. With EU and Nato support a deal was reached offering them greater rights, although some have been unhappy with the pace of change. The US State Department suggests that religious freedom is generally respected and that "societal discrimination is more likely to be based upon ethnic bias" than religion.

    NETHERLANDS

    Total population: 16.3 million
    Muslim population: 945,000 or 5.8%
Background: The integration of Muslims remains a concern for the Dutch government, particularly after a film-maker critical of Islam was murdered in 2004 by a radical Islamist. Further tensions surround the view held by some that there is a high level of crime among Muslim youths and a problem with unemployment. In the 1950s Muslims arrived from the former colonies of Suriname and Indonesia. One of the most important groups is the substantial Somali minority. Others are from Turkey and Morocco. The Netherlands favours multiculturalism, essentially the accommodation of different groups on equal terms.

    SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO (WITH KOSOVO)

Total population: 10.8 million (including Kosovo); 8.1 million (excluding Kosovo)
    Muslim population: Serbia and Montenegro - 405,000 (5%); Kosovo - about 1.8 million (90%)
Background (excluding Kosovo): Within Serbia and Montenegro the predominant religion is Serbian Orthodoxy. Islam is the second largest faith, with Muslims accounting for about 5% of the population, rising to about 20% in Montenegro. The Muslim community is considered one of seven "traditional" religious communities. Religion and ethnicity remain closely linked across the country and discrimination and tensions continue to be reported.
Kosovo background: The late 1990s saw devastating conflict after the Kosovo Liberation Army, supported by the majority ethnic Albanians - most of whom are Muslim - came out in open rebellion against Serbian rule. Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic began "ethnic cleansing" against the Kosovo Albanian population. Thousands died and hundreds of thousands fled. Nato intervened between March and June 1999 with a 78 day bombing campaign to push back Serb forces and Kosovo remains under UN control. The ethnic Albanian community has expressed frustration at the length of time being taken to decide Kosovo's future status. Attacks against Kosovo's remaining minority Serb population have caused concern.

    SPAIN

    Total population: 43.1 million
    Muslim population: 1 million (2.3%)
Background: Almost eight centuries of Moorish rule over Spain came to an end in 1492, providing the country with a strong Islamic legacy, particularly in its architecture. The modern Muslim population started to arrive in significant numbers in the 1970s. Many were Moroccans coming to work in tourism and subsequent growth came when their families joined them. The state recognises Islam, affording it a number of privileges including the teaching of Islam in schools and religious holidays. There have been some reports of tension towards Muslim immigrants. Spain was shaken in 2004 when terror attacks by suspected radical Islamists killed 191 people on Madrid commuter trains.

    SWEDEN

    Total population: 9 million
    Muslim population: 300,000 (3%)
Background: The Muslim population is broad - with significant groups from Turkey, Bosnia, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon and Syria. The size of the Muslim population is such that representative bodies receive state funding. Sweden favours multiculturalism and immigrants can become citizens after five years. Sweden prides itself on its tolerance, but there has been criticism that Muslims are too often blamed for society's problems.

    SWITZERLAND

    Total population: 7.4 million
    Muslim population: 310,800 (4.2%)
Background: Official figures suggest the Muslim population has doubled in recent years, but some sources say there are also about 150,000 Muslims in the country illegally. The first Muslims arrived as workers in the 1960s, mostly from Turkey, the former Yugoslavia and Albania. They were joined by their families in the 1970s and, in recent years, by asylum seekers. (Comparatively few have citizenship.)

    TURKEY

    Total population: 68.7 million
    Muslim population: 68 million (99%)
Background: Although Turkey is a secular state, Islam is an important part of Turkish life. Its application to join the EU divided existing members, some of which questioned whether a poor, Muslim country could fit in. Turkey accused its EU opponents of favouring a "Christian club". Membership talks were formally launched in October 2005, with negotiations expected to take 10 years. Most Turks are Sunni Muslim, but a significant number are of the Alevi branch of Shias.

    UNITED KINGDOM

    Total population: 58.8 million
Muslim population: 1.6 million (2.8%) Background: The UK has a long history of contact with Muslims, with links forged from the Middle Ages onwards. In the 19th Century Yemeni men came to work on ships, forming one of the country's first Muslim communities. In the 1960s, significant numbers of Muslims arrived as people in the former colonies took up offers of work. Some of the first were East African Asians, while many came from south Asia. Permanent communities formed and at least 50% of the current population was born in the UK. Significant communities with links to Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and the Balkans also exist. The 2001 Census showed one third of the Muslim population was under 16 - the highest proportion for any group. It also highlighted high levels of unemployment, low levels of qualifications and low home ownership. The UK favours multiculturalism, an idea shared by other countries which, in general terms, accepts all cultures as having equal value and has influence over how government engages with minorities. dada post ekkak Mr.Idi !!!!

just see this page on this ebook !!!.....WHAT DARWINISTS FAIL TO CONSIDER
    http://www.harunyahya.com/books/darwinism/what_darwinists_fail_to_consider/darwinists_fail_to_consider_03.php

Darwinists Never Consider the Impossibility of Molecular Evolution

    • Darwinists never realize how claiming that mutations improve living things, endowing them with new organs and different characteristics, is as irrational as the assertion that an earthquake can improve a modern city. In fact, no useful mutations increasing genetic information will ever take place.
    • No matter how numerous they may be, mutations do not produce any kind of evolution. 4

    • Darwinists cannot explain that an enzyme in tears known as lysozyme can destroy the cell walls of many species of bacteria and kill germs, so that their vision is protected from a range of diseases. Lysozyme is even more effective than the disinfectants used to clean buildings, yet it does no harm to the eyes themselves. That is a great blessing created by Allah for all mankind.
    • In claiming that life once emerged spontaneously from inanimate matter, Darwinists never recall that back in the 19th century, Louis Pasteur proved the thesis that life comes only from life. He scientifically demolished the idea that inanimate substances can ever give rise to life.
    • Darwinists never realize that the hypothalamus in the human body, no larger than a lump of sugar, needs to set a time for the human reproductive glands to develop and to release the growth hormone at just that moment. Blind chance cannot account for this piece of tissue with no sense organs or even a brain of its own to keep track of passing time and ready the requisite bodily changes.
    • Darwinists never realize that functions in the human body take place at just the right speed and time with the help of enzymes, and that these enzymes which are composed of unconscious molecules, cannot learn their duties by themselves.
    • Darwinists never realize that even though it’s impossible for them to copy out a text consisting of billions of letters without errors creeping in, enzymes combine together millions of units of information as they copy DNA, without making a single mistake. This is simply more proof of the existence of Allah.
    • Darwinists never think that the synthesis of amino acids in the laboratory does not mean the production of life, and therefore represents no evidence for evolution.
    • Human DNA is like a computer program but far, far more advanced than any software we've ever created . 5

    • Darwinists claim that scientific experiments have shown that life can begin spontaneously through chemical reactions. But they never admit that not a single experiment exists to show this or that, furthermore, science proves this to be impossible on even the theoretical level.
    • Darwinists never admit that Stanley Miller—who conducted the socalled “Miller Experiment” that they present as an important discovery in explaining the origin of life—carried out his experiment under arbitrary artificial conditions that had nothing to do with the primeval Earth’s real atmosphere. Nor do they realize that Miller synthesized only an amino acid, and that the emergence of amino acids in any form is hardly the same as the emergence of life.
    • Amino acids may be the building blocks of proteins, but there is a world of difference between building blocks and assembled structure. Just as the discovery of a pile of bricks is no guarantee that a house lies around the corner, so a collection of amino acids is along, long way from the sort of large, specialized molecules such as proteins that life requires. 6

    • The organs in the human body are built around the framework of a blueprint described by genes in the chromosomes. Darwinists never think how the human body is controlled by means of a blueprint and intelligen-ces encoded in the genes.

    • Darwinists never realize that in order for a single cell to form, a great many complex mechanisms—hundreds of different proteins, the DNA code, the enzymes that interpret it, the cell membrane with its selective permeability, and many other features—all need to appear at once. They claim that “chemical evolution” took place, but this is impossible. Yet they continue to believe in the impossible.
    • Darwinists do admit that DNA contains information about all the details in an organism. They acknowledge that this giant molecule is made up of consecutive sequences of four different components known as bases, and that these four bases—like an alphabet consisting of only four letters—contain blueprints for all the organic molecules that the body is to manufacture. They affirm that these components are not arranged at random, but in line with specific information, and that this information is further subdivided into genes, and that every gene is coded for different details (for example, the formula for insulin, the hormone that takes the blood sugar into the cells). Yet they do not admit that this sublime encyclopedia of information inside a tiny molecule totally demolishes Darwinists’ claims of coincidental evolution.
    • Each of the chromosomes in the nucleus contains genes that carry all the information regarding a human being. Darwinists never consider that all the organs in the human body are constructed according to a genetic blueprint within the cells. For example, the skin is controlled by 2,559 genes, the brain by 29,930 genes, the eye by 1,794, the salivary gland by 186, the heart by 6,216, the chest by 4,001, and the lung by 11,581 genes.
    • Darwinists never appreciate that proteins are made up of only 20 of the more than 200 amino acids in nature, and can never account for such an intelligent selectivity.
    • Darwinists never realize how the shapes assumed by proteins, essential for life, are basically determined by the sequence of the amino acids that constitute those proteins. If one single amino acid fails to bond to the next in the correct sequence, the protein will lose all its functions. The amino acids constituting the proteins manage to arrive at the correct location every time.
    • Darwinists never realize that in order for protein production to take place, the arms of the staircaselike DNA molecule must be opened up. During the process of separation carried out by the enzyme RNA polymerase, a special enzyme prevents friction by holding onto the two ends of the helix. Other particular enzymes prevent the helixes from winding around themselves, and there is intention in every phase of this process, which involves an enormous number of enzymes.
    • Darwinists never realize that it is impossible for a protein to emerge spontaneously in muddy water, for others to emerge in its wake, and for these to combine to bring into being a living cell.

To day the whole biology is based on molecular and cell biology of evolution. these lists are at least 6-7 years old , made by christian fundies. I am laughing my ass of , bcos these are answered long time back. Truth is that without molecular evolution there is no molecular biology in Harvard or MIT or Oxford.

ahh..but may be they teach islamic(stupid) biology in university of afganistan, university /madrassa in iraq and pakistan madrassas...oops
