1st of Dhul-Hijjah will be on Sunday 6th October 2013, the Muslims performing Hajj will be in 'Arafah on Monday 14th October 2013 (9th Dhul-Hijjah 1434, and the Muslim Ummah shall be celebrating' Eid al-Adha on Tuesday 15th October 2013, (10th Dhul-Hijjah 1434),
in shaa.-Allah.
The day of Arafah is 14th Monday 2013, this is now established as per the above. This is the day when the pilgrims converge on the plain of Arafah. Allah gives a tremendous reward to His non-pilgrim slaves on this day just for observing a day's fast. The day following Arafah is Eid as per the Hadeeth of our beloved Prophet (may Allah exalt his mention)who said "Yawmul Arafah, Yawmul Nahr, Ayyamul Thashreeq" First and foremost we must keep in mind Arafah is not in North America or South Asia.
The above Hadeeth clearly states Yawmul Nahr (The day of sacrifice) is the day following Arafah. Allah Azzawajal in His infinite mercy did not make His Messenger (may Allah exalt his mention) even say 9th of Zul Hajj being Arafah, in this case different countries may have different days of Arafah. In short when its reliably informed by a Muslim with a witness within the stipulated time period it becomes obligatory on the Muslim ummah to accept and implement. This is the Sunnah.
There is only one day for Arafah and one night for Laylatul Qadar. Arabic term for yaum means single day not two days. One should not fast on Tuesday since it is haram to fast on Eid days.
